Jeannette holds a BComm (Law) and LLB degree from the University of Stellenbosch.
In 2013 she joined the firm as a Candidate Attorney, was appointed as an Associate in 2014, as a Senior Associate in 2016 and as a Partner on 1 March 2019.
She specialises in all areas of labour law and has acted for a broad client base including state owned enterprises, government entities, non-profits organisations, trade unions, companies, universities and individual employees.
She has experience in appearing in the Labour Courts, CCMA and bargaining councils of various industries and sectors; negotiation, chairing and representation in disciplinary hearings; providing training to clients and conducting investigations including investigations of serious misconduct by senior managers.
Jeannette represents clients in high court litigation including matters relating to commercial law, administrative law, enforcing restraints of trade and urgent applications interdicting unlawful, unprotected and/or violent strikes and protests.
She has also assisted in the drafting of legislation, collective agreements, by-laws and regulations.
